Community Outreach

Out of Control Wildlife is committed to supporting our community and developing programs that support getting kids and their parents involved with the great outdoors and our abundant wildlife. From school programs with snakes and turtles to water conservation, stream testing ane river tire clean-ups, we encourage all members of our community to be involved. Out of Control Wildlife can assist you in getting your backyard certified as a wildlife habitat and/or spend a lazy day canoeing or kayaking down the beautify Licking River where endangered freshwater mussels are abundant in these protected waters.

We are strong supporters of the Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, The National Wildlife Federation, The League of Kentucky Sportsmen and The National Rifle Association. We encourage and empower our community to protect wildlife and our environment.

In addition to all of our many other programs we also offer a special opportunity for kids to participate through our Kids N' Dirt Program. Kids N' Dirt is an extension of preexisting programs that are offered to the general public. Kids N' Dirt is for those youth who need to live the outdoors. They are kids who have already participated in many adventures and are drawn to be outside and do more. Kids N' Dirt is for those youngsters who demonstrate only the utmost respect for themselves, others, our equipment, wildlife and the environment. Members of Kids N' Dirt need to meet rigorous requirements with parents who are willing to not only participate, but work together with the other parents to organize and facilitate the adventures. Unlike many youth activities, not all kids and/or parents are respectful and responsible enough to meet the criteria to participate.  It is a privilege to become a member of Kids N' Dirt, where kids PLAY hard and learn a lot.
